FAST FEED

KEREN

2020 - onging

"FAST FEED" is a thought-provoking film co-directed by A&I (AdeY and Ira Mandela Siobhan) that delves into the complexities of divisive politics and race relations in contemporary society. The film critically examines how polarized information disseminated through social media platforms affects the mental health of younger generations, prompting viewers to reflect on their own engagements with politics, race, equality, and digital media.

Following the success of two concept shorts, the creators are now developing "FAST FEED" into a feature-length film. The short film premiered at Inkonst in Malmö, Sweden on March 26, 2022, as part of Malmö Scenfest.

"FAST FEED" serves as a poignant commentary on the current state of societal division and the pervasive influence of social media, offering audiences an opportunity to introspect on their personal relationships with these critical issues.

The film provides the viewer with a warning, a chance to reflect on their own relationship with politics, race, equality and the use of social media in our connected/disconnected world.

"We are grown-up children running around with the innocence of a 3-, 4-, or 5-year-old. We don’t think about consequences or about the ideas others project onto us. We are free—free to do what we want to do."

KEREN

2015

Keren is a collaboration bringing together two perspectives, a female and male onto one body, exploring the fluidity of identity through the physical, emotional and contextual perception of gender. The work challenges the division of roles by unleashing and building a masculine conviction within a vulnerable yet powerful female body.

"Sometimes I feel I'm masked by normality. The second skin I put on my body changes how I feel inside. The pants, the shirt and my everyday face camouflages what is really inside."

BEAST

2015

Working with choreographer Martin Forsberg, designer Jenny Nordberg and lighting designer Guy Hoare, and inspired by the confronting images of photographer Joel-Peter Within, Daw has created an intimate and hyper-theatrical spectacle that licks the eyeball of normality while charging down deviant neurological paths visiting sexual vertigo, expectation, intention and effect.
